Our Roots in Marketing and Investor Relations

Opening Bell at NASDAQ
This is where our love of working with engineers started. (Kirsten, far left)

Dot Hill was a tech company in the enterprise storage industry at a time when the segment was evolving rapidly and nimble innovators could stand out from the big boys. During this time the data companies were still just babies (big babies) that had a huge appetite for the latest storage tech. Kirsten moved from product marketing to a new role managing investor relations. This job encompasses marketing the company to Wall Street and investors. You have press, annalist calls, meetings, forums, earnings releases, conferences etc. It is really just marketing with more face time exposure and different collateral.

These early relationships helped to shape Garvin Communications and all we do in digital marketing today.
